12th round of Islam, Orthodox Christian Dialogue to be held in Moscow

Moscow, IRNA – Cultural attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation announced that the 12th round of Islam and Orthodox Christian Dialogue will be held in Moscow February 2-5 with the theme of public services of religious communities in the pandemic era.

Speaking with IRNA on Sunday, Masood Ahmadvand said that a delegation headed by Mohammad-Mahdi Imanipoor, the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), would attend this round of dialogues.

Pointing out that this 12th round of Islam and Orthodox Christian Dialogue is held on the 25th anniversary of the dialogues, Ahmadvand said that this round will be held after a four-year hiatus due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The cultural attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia reiterated the papers that would be presented in this round of dialogues in Moscow would be on such issues as interactions between the secular and the theological education systems, the experience of priests in universities, the social services of believers in the post-Corona world, and the prerequisites and factors for Iran-Russia cooperation in social and humanitarian fields in the post-pandemic era.
