13 People Died And More Than 17 Others Injured In Two Separate Accidents in India

At least 13 people were killed, including children, and several others were injured in two separate accidents in India.

And Indian official sources said today that seven people died, including a seven-year-old child, and more than 15 others were injured, after a bus carrying more than 40 passengers fell into a water channel, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, southeastern India.

In a separate incident, six people were killed and two others injured in an accident near Delhi on the Ghaziabad-Meerut highway when a school bus coming from the wrong side collided with a vehicle coming at high speed from the opposite direction.

Police said the dead included two women and three children.

It is noteworthy that tens of thousands die in traffic accidents in India annually, as official statistics for the past year indicate that about 135 thousand people died in traffic accidents, and India ranks second in the world after China in terms of the highest number of fatal traffic accidents.
