65% increase in the unloading of basic commodities through Shahid Rajaei port

Director General of Ports and Maritime of Hormozgan: since April this year to mid-November, 2 million 268 thousand 29 tons of basic commodities were unloaded from 46 ships in this port.

–Reporting on the amount of import, unloading and loading of basic commodities (non-container goods) in the largest commercial port of the country, Alireza Mohammadi Karajiran stated: Since the beginning of this year, 2 million 268 thousand 29 tons of basic commodities has been unloaded, with wheat and edible oil had the highest share.

Karajiran mentioned vegetable oil, rice, corn, sugar, soybean meal, fertilizer, wheat and barley as the main commodities that entered Shahid Rajaei port carried by 46 ships and then transited to the destination provinces by road and rail.

The director of Shahid Rajaei Port Special Economic Zone announced that the amount of wheat unloaded as a strategic product in the mentioned period was 798,240 tons.

Referring to the import of half a million tons of edible oil since the beginning of this year (Iranian Calendar) to mid-November, Mohammadi Karajiran said: the oil entered the port of Shahid Rajaei carried by 17 ships was transferred to processing plants depending on market needs and stored in special storage tanks in the port.
