Baghdad, The Federal Police announced today, Sunday, the arrest of 7 defendants for committing the crime of tribal raids in Maysan Governorate.
A federal statement said, “A force from the Eleventh Brigade, Third Division, Federal Police, in conjunction with the brigade’s intelligence detachments, arrested 7 defendants for committing the crime of ‘tribal raids’ in (Al-Hussein neighborhood) area of Maysan Governorate, after chasing them and exchanging gunfire with them.”
It explained, “The defendants were seized with two Kalashnikov rifles, 20 rounds of ammunition, and other materials, and they and the seized items were duly referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal and investigative procedures against them.”
