A 5-magnitude earthquake hits southern Iran

The Iranian National Seismological Center announced today, Saturday, that an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck the Parsian area in Hormozgan Province, in the south of the country.

According to the “Iran International” website, the earthquake occurred near the coast of the Arabian Gulf at a depth of 11 kilometers.

According to first estimates, no damages from the earthquake were reported.
