The Federal Police Directorate arrested a person accused of killing his wife in Baghdad.
The Federal Police said in a statement that, after receiving accurate information that there was a murder in (Al-Kargouliya) area in Baghdad, a security team was formed from the second regiment, the second brigade, the first division, Federal Police, in partnership with the intelligence detachments of the regiment within a sector of responsibility. The team was able to arrest the suspect who killed his wife with a Kalashnikov rifle.
In Mosul, security forces found a charred body of a young man north of province.
A source in the Nineveh police told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “the security forces found the charred body of a young man near al-Kindi, north of Mosul.”
He added, “Nineveh police handed over the body of the young man to the forensic medicine department in Mosul.”
