The security forces in Maysan carried out a security operation in the district of Al-Kahla and Al-Majar Al-Kabeer, south of the governorate, to pursue wanted persons and seize unlicensed weapons.
The Maysan Operations Command said in a statement, a copy of which the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received: “The operation was carried out by the units of the Ninety-seventh Brigade (the first, second and third regiments) within the Operations Command, and resulted in the seizure of a quantity of unlicensed weapons and ammunition, indicating that the seizures were handed over to the competent authorities.”
