The Executive Council of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) convened its 93rd meeting at the bureau’s headquarters in Riyadh.

The meeting addressed the Director-General’s report on the implementation of the bureau’s programs and its associated centers, as well as the status of work for the current financial cycle, 2023-2024. Members were also briefed on the planned programs for the next financial cycle, 2025-2026.

The meeting commended the diversity and quality of the offered programs, the variety of activities, the exceptional level of achievement, the accomplished objectives, and the various studies incorporated within the programs, all of which addressed the needs of the educational sector. It also emphasized the bureau’s role in fostering cooperation, coordination, and integration among the ministries of education in the member states.

The Gulf Digital Educational Library was inaugurated as a prominent initiative by ABEGS, coinciding with the International Day for Universal Access
to Information (IDUAI) in the educational sector. This initiative aims to organize electronic information resources generated by the bureau, facilitating a database that offers unified access to ministries of education, schools, and their personnel.
