Al-Hakim And The Representative Of The Iranian President Discuss The Visit Of Ashura And Arbaeen

The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with the representative of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sheikh Muhammad Haji Dolaby, the visit of Ashura and the Arbaeen.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged condolences on the advent of the holy month of Muharram and views on developments in the political scene in the region and bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran, especially the entitlement of the Ashura and Arbaeen visits.

Al-Hakim called for maintaining relations and coordinating positions, stressing the need for stability in the region as a prelude to the stability and well-being of its peoples.

Al-Hakim praised the rapprochement between Tehran and the Gulf states, noting that this convergence reflects a desire to manage differences in preparation for resolving them.

He said that “we have renewed our condemnation of the incident of burning a copy of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Denmark.”

He stressed that this falls within the category of targeting world peace and indifference to the feelings of two billion Muslims, calling also on countries that allow these actions to review their positions, as freedom of expression and personal freedom ends when it intersects with the freedom and feelings of others.
