Al-Hakim calls for the enactment of laws that deal with drugs and alien cultures

The leader of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, called today for the enactment of laws that address drugs and exotic cultures.

Al-Hakim said, in a statement: “We met the Secretary-General of the World Assembly for Proximity among Islamic Doctrines, Sheikh Hamid Shahriari, and we exchanged condolences on the painful fortieth day of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).”

Al-Hakim appreciated, “The high coordination between Iraq and the Islamic Republic in the success of this visit, and the reception and promotion of visitors back.”

He stressed, “the necessity of preserving Islamic unity among Islamic sects, and the role of the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in it,” calling for them to “be the focus of this unity and the basis for its continuity,” as Mr. Al-Hakim indicated, “the nature of the challenges facing Islamic societies, such as drugs and alien cultures to societies,” stressing “the need to address it by enacting the necessary laws that cut off the way for its owners, and also by immunizing Muslim youth intellectually and culturally.”

He stressed “the importance of coordinating positions and communication between the social and religious symbols of Islamic societies,” and stressed, “the necessity of this communication in perpetuating dialogue among the parties in the region and sustaining stability in it.”

During the meeting, Al-Hakim reviewed “the nature of the variables of the Iraqi situation,” noting that “Iraq is living in an acceptable state of stability at the political, security, social and economic levels, and we held everyone responsible for its perpetuation because of its active and influential role in the stability of the region and the world.”
