Al-Hakim: Sports protect youth from pests and are an entry point for marketing countries’ policies

Baghdad, The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, called today, Saturday, for empowering young people, discovering talents, and protecting them from pests through sports, considering that sports are an important entry point for marketing countries’ policies.

During his meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, Al-Hakim listened to the latest developments in the youth and sports files, as they are two important files that contribute to the upbringing of generations and protecting them from the scourges surrounding them,” according to a statement by Al-Hakim’s media office.

He stressed the importance of “creating programs capable of developing youth, empowering them, and protecting them from pests and foreign ideas, as well as discovering and supporting talents, indicating the necessity of integrating the roles of institutions in this file.”

On the sports side, Al-Hakim called for “the completion of stadiums and the effort to host world championships, noting that sports today represent an important entry point for marketing countries’ policies and their openness to their regional and global surroundings.” He also stressed “the necessity of combating corruption and blocking the way for corrupt.”
