Al-Sadr announces the freezing of the Sadrist Movement for a period of one year

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced the suspension of the Sadrist Movement for a period of one year.

Al-Sadr said in a tweet to him on Twitter: I find it in the interest to freeze the Movement as a whole, except for Friday prayers, the Heritage Authority, and (Barani Al-Sayyid Al-Shahid) for a period of not less than a year.

He added, “The shrine of the father will be closed until after Eid al-Fitr.”

He explained, “To be a reformer for Iraq.. and I cannot reform (the Sadrist movement), for this is a sin. If I continue to lead the (Sadr movement), and there are (the people of the cause) and some of the corrupt, and there are some abominations in it, then this is a serious matter.”

In conclusion, he said: These decisions of this blessed night will be implemented immediately. / End
