Al-Sayhoud participates in a medical conference in the British capital, London

Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Endowments and Tribes Committee and Secretary-General of the Generations Gathering, Muhammad Saadoun Al-Sayhoud, participated in the medical scientific conference that was held in the capital of the United Kingdom (London).

Al-Sayhoud explained in a press statement today that: The conference was attended by a delegation from the Endowments and Tribes Committee, which included MPs (Tuma Al-Lahibi, Ghareeb Ahmed), representatives of Iraq’s medical universities and the Iraqi Embassy in London, and a number of doctors specializing in the medical, scientific and academic fields.

He added: The conference was devoted to discussing a number of topics that contribute to developing the medical and educational level in Iraq and the possibility of benefiting from the specialties of expatriate Iraqi doctors in the world and in the United Kingdom, and benefiting from their experiences in improving the medical reality in all governorates of Iraq.

Al-Sayhoud extended his thanks to Dr. Muhammad Al-Sudani, the official sponsor of the conference, appreciating his step in inviting Iraqi doctors from all over the world to contribute in providing constructive visions for developing the medical reality in Iraq.

He praised the invitation extended to the parliamentary delegation to participate in reviewing the conference proceedings, and working to support its recommendations in Parliament due to their importance in promoting and improving the health situation of the Iraqi citizen.

He assured the participants of the interest of the Iraqi government, represented by the Ministry of Health, and the House of Representatives, represented by the Health and Environment Committee, to be supportive of the outcomes of the conference, calling at the same time for the necessity of holding similar conferences in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation and cooperation of the competent authorities and committees in Parliament to enhance promising practical steps in the field of medical services and support the horizons of medical education in Iraq”.
