Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani confirmed today, Saturday, Iraq’s progress in establishing effective economic relations, during telephone talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.
A statement by the media office of the Prime Minister stated that Al-Sudani received a phone call from Macron, pointing out that the call witnessed discussions between the two sides on ways to strengthen bilateral relations, continue work and expand economic partnership for the benefit of the two countries.
The Prime Minister assured the French President, according to the statement, “Iraq’s continuation in establishing effective economic relations that contribute to the construction of infrastructure, and opens the doors of investment and partnership to all friends, within an effective economic and service program.”
For his part, the French President praised “the growing relations between the two friendly countries, in various fields, and the increasing level of cooperation towards building economic partnerships that contribute to achieving mutual interests, in a way that enhances the development path of the two countries and the prosperity of their peoples.”
