Albudaiwi: Arab Media Forum has Made a Clear and Visible Impact on World of Global Media Forums

Under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and in the presence of Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the 21st session of the Arab Media Forum (AMF) began today in Dubai, UAE.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, participated in the forum’s official opening and spoke during a session that accompanied the conference titled “The Arabian Gulf’s Future Amidst Regional Conflict”.

The GCC Secretary-General said that the AMF has made a clear and visible impact on the world of global media forums, finding solutions to media topics and developing them to keep pace with modern media.

During his speech in the session, Albudaiwi touched on the regional and global position held by the GCC countries and the efforts of multiple countries and blocs to establish partnerships and cooperative relations with them. He also pointed to the achievements accomplished by the GCC countries in their economies and what this represents at the global economic level.

Moreover, he said that the GCC states are constantly seeking peace and stability in the world and building their relations with countries on the principles of good neighbourliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and respect for international conventions and treaties.

The GCC Secretary-General concluded his speech by stressing that traditional media does not serve the Arab media discourse, underscoring that it must keep pace with modern media, which requires planning and work to stay abreast of changes and technology in the world of modern media.
