Amir Abdollahian holds video conference with Iranian ambassadors, heads of country’s diplomatic missions

On the occasion of the Ten-day Dawn and the 43rd anniversary of the glorious Islamic Revolution, the first video conference was held of the foreign minister with all ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad and in the presence of deputies and directors general of the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, February 9. On the occasion of the Ten-day Dawn and the 43rd anniversary of the glorious Islamic Revolution, the first video conference was held of the foreign minister with all ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad and in the presence of deputies and directors general of the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, February 9.

In this meeting, after a number of ambassadors presented their views, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian made a speech during which he commemorated the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and the memory of Imam Khomeini and the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution. He also congratulated the blessed days of Ten-day Dawn and the arrival of the holy month of Rajab and then spoke about the latest political developments regarding Iran’s foreign policy.

Referring to the transformational plans of President Raisi’s popular government, Amir Abdollahian described balanced foreign policy, dynamic diplomacy and smart interaction as the framework used by the Foreign Ministry to regulate foreign relations in order to preserve the original values of the Islamic Revolution and ensure the maximum interests of the great Iranian nation.

The foreign minister also spoke of Iran’s foreign policy achievements over the past few months like providing urgent public health needs and vaccines on a large scale. Amir Abdollahian called on the heads of Iran’s diplomatic missions to make each and every effort in line with the new government’s policies and missions and do their utmost to deepen and develop Iran’s bilateral relations with other countries and pay special attention to the needs of Iranian nationals abroad.

He stressed that it is necessary for the esteemed heads of delegations to be present among Iranians abroad and to be closely informed about the problems and try for their solution.

The foreign minister stressed that although Iran’s neighbors and the Asian region are among the main priorities in the country’s foreign policy, at the same time the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to expand balanced and good relations with countries in other regions, including Africa, Latin America and Europe.

At the end, Amir Abdollahian spoke about the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations in Vienna aimed at lifting sanctions.
