Riyadh: The Architecture and Design Commission (ADC) issued a press release today regarding the pilot edition of its Design Leadership Program 2024, part of its Educational Enrichment Programs Initiative.
The program is designed for emerging professionals in the architecture and design sector, and aims to enhance leadership capabilities through a comprehensive online curriculum complemented by additional program components.
According to the release, the Design Leadership Program 2024 is designed for young architecture and design professionals with 3-7 years of experience who are currently in leadership positions, managing teams of 2-5 people or more. Applicants should be residents of Saudi Arabia, working in one of the architecture and design disciplines, and proficient in English.
The program’s objectives are to offer architecture and design practitioners opportunities to develop leadership skills, enrich the practical application of leadership with real-world examples and best practices, and promote coll
aboration within the Saudi architecture and design community.
The program has four key components: leadership style assessment, where participants will undertake an online assessment to identify their leadership style; creative leadership course, a 5-hour pre-recorded online course focusing on motivating, managing, and developing creative teams; coaching session, a personalized online coaching session with industry experts to guide participants toward achieving their leadership aspirations; and the closing event, an in-person ceremony in Riyadh to review participants’ progress and provide expert insight into learning outcomes, as well as networking opportunities.
According to the commission, the program starts on May 26 and lasts until June 8, 2024.
