Tehran, IRNA – Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the commander-in-chief of the Iranian army said that the country’s armed forces will powerfully stand up against any threat targeting the nation.
Major General Mousavi was speaking with reporters on Wednesday on the sidelines of a ceremony unveiling the latest achievements by Zarhan military center.
He said the army assures the Iranian people that the armed forces are powerfully making efforts to fulfill the goals of the Islamic revolution.
He added that the army will counter any threat targeting the Islamic Republic and its borders, as well as the Iranian people’s tranquility.
Mousavi also spoke about the army’s ground force, and said that the force has made significant progress in recent years in different fields, including equipment and training.
The army chief also said that the ground force has also promoted its combat power and made progress on how to apply it during military missions.
