The security forces in Maysan arrested an accused of threatening crimes and seized unlicensed weapons and ammunition.

The Operations Command said in a statement, a copy of which the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received: “A force from the 2nd Regiment, Infantry Brigade 97, arrested the wanted suspect according to Article (431) of threat in Al-Majar Al-Kabeer District.”

It added that a force from the second and third regiments, the 97th Infantry Brigade, seized a number of weapons in the districts of Al-Majar Al-Kabir and Qalaat Saleh, indicating that the accused and the seized items had been handed over to the requesting party.
