At least two people killed in Iranian frigate sinking in southeastern Iran

Fars” News Agency reported that two people were killed in the sinking of the Iranian Navy’s “Sahand” frigate in the southeast of the country.

The Agency added that the cause of the accident was likely due to a malfunction in the ship’s balance tank or the entry of water after repairing the destroyer’s shaft.

For its part, the Iranian “Mehr” News Agency explained that the frigate was involved in an accident in the waters of the coastal city of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan Province, southeast of Iran, at the entrance to the Arabian Gulf.
