Ayatollah Khamenei Asserts Enemy’s Failure to Influence Iranian Public Opinion

Tehran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei declared that adversaries have been unsuccessful in their efforts to sway public opinion in Iran to further their schemes against the nation. He shared these insights in Tehran while addressing thousands of residents from East Azarbaijan Province, marking the anniversary of the Tabriz uprising against the Pahlavi regime in 1978. The gathering included top officials, such as President Masoud Pezeshkian.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the ongoing ‘soft threats’ from Iran’s adversaries, which he described as attempts to manipulate public opinion, sow discord, and instill doubt about the Islamic Revolution’s foundational principles. He emphasized that these efforts have not succeeded in shaking the resolve of the Iranian people.

The Leader referred to the recent nationwide rallies on the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory as evidence of the Iranian people’s steadfastness. The rallies, he noted, were attended by a broad cross-section of the populace, not limited to the armed forces and officials, showcasing the people’s commitment to defending their revolution despite existing challenges.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged media owners, writers, scholars, cultural sector participants, and young social media users to focus on countering the enemy’s soft threats. He asserted that the Islamic Revolution stands as an independent identity and a beacon of hope for regional and global nations, which incites the ire of oppressors and colonizers.

The Leader also addressed hard threats from adversaries, assuring that Iran’s self-defense capabilities are robust, providing a sense of security to the populace. He encouraged Iranian youth to deepen their understanding of the Islamic Revolution to bolster the nation’s defense against soft threats.

Ayatollah Khamenei concluded by stating that the United States’ antagonism towards Iran stems from the country’s independence from external control, rather than the ‘Death to America’ slogans. He criticized American demands for control over other nations, pointing out the oppressive and arrogant nature of such actions.
