The second phase of the Buraidah Dates Carnival, which will last for 21 days, was officially launched yesterday.
It offers visitors plenty of activities and things to see, including a model of a date village, an old date market, activities organized by the Culinary Arts Commission, exhibitions of manufacturing industries and families working in the cottage industry, artisans, poetry evenings, folk bands, a dedicated children’s area, drawing competitions, and many more.
Secretary-General of the Higher Committee of the Carnival Dr. Khaled Al-Naqidan said that the carnival has attracted hundreds of visitors, and that the programs, activities, and events cater to the various interests of the community.
Al-Naqidan also acknowledged the support and follow-up the carnival received from Governor of Qassim Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz.
