Tehran, IRNA – China is an important founding member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman told a Chinese TV on Saturday.
In an exclusive interview with China’s CGTN TV, Nasser Kanaani said that China’s constructive role in regional and international issues is of significance for SCO member states.
China’s efforts to strengthen multilateral regional cooperation, including on economy and transit, and regional and international trade are of high value, Kanaani added.
We believe that China is a good instance of a responsible country in countering a global-scale threat and it was successful in managing the epidemy inside the country, the spokesman said.
He also noted that China had a good experience in containing the COVID-19 pandemic and played a positive role in assisting other countries in managing and containing the epidemy.
