Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Attends Ceremony Awarding Winners of the Cultural Communication Award


Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz yesterday attended the ceremony honoring the winners of the fourth edition of the Cultural Communication Award, organized here by the King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication (KACCC).

Chairman of the KACCC Board of Trustees Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Subail said in a speech on the occasion: “The King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication enjoys the attention and care of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and receives support from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Part of this attention was reflected in the Royal Decree to rename the center King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication, and to redefine its objectives to align with the upcoming phase, which focuses on the global dimension of the center’s activities and programs.”

He said that the Board of Trustees and the Secretariat General have worked to redefine the cente
r’s strategy and bring it in line with its new objectives, which are based on the Saudi Vision 2030. The strategy entails initiatives, programs and projects that focus on three key elements: cultural communication, social cohesion, and national identity, with focus on global presence, knowledge enrichment, and capacity building.

The winners, representatives of the winning government institutions, and sponsors were given commemorative photos and received their awards from the deputy governor.
