The President visited Jiroft to be informed about the situation of the flooded areas in the south of Kerman and to monitor the process of providing relief to the people.
Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi left for Jiroft before noon on Friday to look into the situation of the flooded areas and monitor the relief process.
The President, who was in Moscow yesterday, instructed his chief of staff to contact the interior minister and the governor general of Kerman to follow up on the situation of the flood victims in southern Kerman.
Also, Dr Raisi personally contacted the governor general of Kerman on Friday morning, immediately after arriving at Mehrabad Airport, and issued the necessary instructions to expedite the relief work.
