Egypt releases two fishermen it arrested more than a year ago

On Thursday, the Egyptian authorities released two fishermen who were arrested near the Egyptian-Palestinian border more than a year ago.

The Gaza Fishermen’s Syndicate said: Egyptian security forces released the fishermen, who had spent fourteen months in detention, through the Rafah crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.

Fisherman Salem Hamouda Abdel-Al Al-Najjar and fisherman Abdel-Karim Walid Al-Najjar arrived on Thursday evening to their homes in Khan Yunis Governorate, south of the Gaza Strip.
