Embassy in Damascus commemorates martyrs of terrorist attack in southern Iran

Damascus, IRNA – A ceremony commemorating the martyrs of Shah Cheragh terrorist attack in Shiraz City in southern Iran was held in the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital on Thursday where senior officials from the country were present.

During the ceremony, senior political, military and religious figures of Syria, as well as a number of Damascus-based ambassadors, sympathized with Iranian ambassador in Damascus on behalf of the Iranian nation.

They also condemned the terrorist attack and signed a memorial book of the martyrs of the incident.

A terrorist gunman opened fire at the worshippers of Shah Cheragh holy shrine in Shiraz, southern Iran, on October 26, killing 13, including two children, and wounding 30 others.

The attacker was injured and arrested but succumbed to injuries shortly after being transferred to hospital.

Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
