Events, Activities, Shows of Gulf Theater Festival Unveiled in Press Conference


The Theater and Performing Arts Commission has unveiled details about the Gulf Theater Festival, which will be hosted for the first time in the Kingdom in its 14th edition.

Details were announced at a press conference on Tuesday at the Saudi Music Hub in Riyadh, attended by several media representatives, festival officials, and cultural figures.

In his welcoming speech, CEO of the Theater and Performing Arts Commission Sultan Al-Bazie emphasized the special attention Saudi Arabia pays to talented and creative individuals in various cultural fields and the platforms it provides for them. He highlighted the importance of the festival in revitalizing the theater scene across the Gulf countries and strengthening relationships and collaborative efforts between the brotherly nations and their theater artists.

For his part, Director of the Gulf Theater Festival Khalid Al-Baz underlined the festival’s significance and its contributions to enhancing the artistic landscape in the Gulf and Arab region. He added that
the festival will honor seven prominent theater figures from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, in recognition of their contributions to enriching the theatrical movement in the Gulf.

The 14th edition of the festival will be held for the first time in the Kingdom from September 10 to 17 in Riyadh under the patronage of Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the chairman of the commission’s board of directors.
