Federation of Saudi Chambers Expands National Committees

Federation of Saudi Chambers Chairman Hassan Alhwaizy said that the number of national committees has increased from 37 to 60, which reflects the growing importance of these committees in shaping Saudi Arabia’s economic future.

In his speech at the first meeting of the national committees development project, Alhwaizy emphasized that the committees will receive full support and empowerment to fulfill their economic roles effectively. Over 50 committee members attended the meeting.

The national committees have undergone significant development to enhance their ability to represent economic sectors, contribute to government decision-making, and align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals. The federation’s board of directors, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, has been instrumental in enabling the committees’ operations through regulations, human resources, economic studies, automation, governance, and increased coordination.

Meeting participants highlighted the crucial role of national committe
es in representing commercial activities, conveying the voice of economic sectors to government officials, addressing challenges, contributing to legislation, and achieving national objectives. They recommended forming coordinating committees to address common issues and advance the Kingdom’s economic aspirations.
