First Robotic Knee Replacement Surgery at King Salman Medical City Proves Successful


A specialized orthopedic and joint replacement surgical team at King Salman bin Abdulaziz Medical City, part of Madinah Health Cluster, has performed a robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery on a woman in her seventies. This milestone marks the first robotic surgery at the health cluster’s hospitals.

The patient was discharged in good health after completing her treatment.

The health cluster highlighted the significance of using robotic systems in joint replacement surgeries, emphasizing the advancement in orthopedic procedures. The robotic system enhances precision in bone alignment and implant placement, resulting in improved surgical outcomes and shorter recovery times for patients.
