For $25,000, the Intelligence Agency in Baghdad arrests a father who offered his infant daughter for sale

The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced today, Thursday, the arrest of a father who offered his infant daughter for sale for 25 thousand dollars.

A statement by the Agency stated, “Sources from the intelligence Agency’s departments responsible for combating organized crime within Baghdad Governorate obtained accurate information about a father offering his infant daughter for sale for 25,000 dollars.”

It added, “Immediately, a working team was formed to follow up and verify the information received, and after completing the necessary investigations and obtaining judicial approvals, our units specialized in combating organized crime were able, with a precise ambush, to thwart the process of selling the child, arrest the father, and refer him to the relevant authorities to receive his just punishment.”
