French Experts Visit Weqaa Center’s Central Animal Health Laboratory


Riyadh: A delegation of French experts in animal health visited the central animal health laboratory of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plants Pests and Animal Diseases.

The visit was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, with the aim of exchanging international expertise with their Saudi counterparts.

The visit aimed to introduce Saudi laboratories specializing in animal health and their crucial role in safeguarding animal wealth and contributing to local food security.

Additionally, the visit sought to enhance the capabilities of the laboratory in Riyadh, aligning with the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories (ISO/IEC 17025:2017).

At the laboratory, the delegation was briefed on the application of the 12 essential aspects of quality management in laboratories as well as quality control procedures for qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative analyses.
