GACA Participates in 69th Session of Executive Council of Arab Civil Aviation Organization in Morocco


Rabat: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), took part in the 69th session of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), which commenced yesterday in Rabat, Morocco.

GACA Chairman Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej led the Kingdom’s delegation, joined by various aviation leaders and representatives from several Arab countries.

During the meeting, the participants followed up on the recommendations from the 68th meeting and discussed the organization’s upcoming projects. GACA also presented a working paper titled “Cybersecurity Culture Strategy.”

In his opening speech, Al-Duailej emphasized that the Kingdom has contributed to shaping the future of the civil aviation sector regionally and internationally. He highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to participating in such meetings to strengthen cooperation and coordination with international and regional organizations, enhancing its global presence and influence.

Al-Duailej also no
ted that the Kingdom is actively working to enhance civil aviation security and improve airport security procedures in line with international standards. The Kingdom also seeks to develop the skills and efficiency of national personnel in aviation security.

He further emphasized the Kingdom’s significant role in the ACAO, stating that its membership in all technical committees is crucial for preserving Arab interests and ensuring safe and continuous civil aviation at regional and international levels.
