Riyadh: The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has received the ISO 9001:2015 certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which recognizes GASTAT’s effective quality management, decision-making, performance-improvement, and customer-satisfaction efforts.
GASTAT President Fahad Aldossari said that this certification was granted as a result of the authority’s efforts to have top-notch data quality, create sustainable value for statistical products, leverage digital transformation and modern technologies, and adopt international practices, all with the aim of improving performance efficiency and providing high-quality statistics.
The ISO certification is awarded to organizations that meet global standards in systems, policies, and procedures. ISO is an independent international organization comprising 170 specialized bodies. It focuses on establishing and implementing standards related to quality and institutional excellence.
