Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi stressed the strategic importance of GCC-US relations.
During a phone call on Wednesday with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs Daniel Binyam, he praised the growing strategic partnership between the GCC States and the United States and its role in promoting peace, security, stability, and economic prosperity in the Middle East. According to a statement from the GCC Secretariat, Al-Budaiwi said that the GCC countries have always sought to contribute to achieving global security and stability through strategic partnerships with governments and regional and international organizations.
