GCC denounces storming, vandalism of Saudi Arabian embassy in Sudan

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jassim Al-Budaiwi strongly condemned the armed groups’ acts of vandalism and tampering with the embassy building of Saudi Arabia.

He said in a statement issued by the General Secretariat Thursday that the acts of vandalism that affected Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Sudan and its attach?©s, in addition to sabotaging the housing and property of Saudi employees working in the embassy, are a serious violation of diplomatic agreements and the rules of international law.

He underlined the need to stop the escalation that targets the headquarters of diplomatic missions and buildings.

Yesterday, armed groups stormed the headquarters of the Bahraini embassy and the house of the Bahraini ambassador to Sudan, and carried out acts of vandalism.
