The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, commended the significant efforts undertaken by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Programme for Yemen (SDRPY) in various Yemeni governorates. These efforts aim to bolster Yemen’s prosperity and stability and fulfil its people’s aspirations.
Albudaiwi expressed his appreciation during a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen and the Supervisor General of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Programme for Yemen, Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, at the Secretariat General in Riyadh.
The GCC Secretary General reiterated the Cooperation Council’s unwavering support for Yemen’s legitimacy, represented by the Presidential Leadership Council and its lawful government.
He also emphasized the Council’s backing of the United Nations’ efforts to extend the truce and facilitate a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, consistent with the three references, to establish stability and security that meets Yemenis’ aspirations.
