Gen. Soleimani, Abu Mahdi prevented disintegration of Iraq: Iraqi MP

Tehran, IRNA – An Iraqi Parliamentarian stressed the need for the expulsion of American military forces from Iraq, adding that martyrs Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Deputy Chief of Iraq’s popular forces Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes prevented the breakup of this country.

Faleh Al-Khazali underscored that the in the beginningof the battle of Iraqis with terrorism, the US provided weapons and ammunition to the terrorist group ISIS.

Speaking to Alahad TV, he added that the historical fatwa of Iraq’s supreme religious authority Ayatollah Ali Sistani turned defeat into victory, adding that the the presence of the victory commanders Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes also prevented the disintegration of Iraq.

The United States assassinated commander of the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and former commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes along with their companions by targeting their vehicles outside Baghdad International Airport on 3 January 2020 at the direct order from US President Donald Trump.
