General Authority for Care of the Two Holy Mosques Aims to Achieve 130,000 Volunteer Hours at Grand Mosque

Makkah, The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque aims to achieve 130,000 volunteer hours at the Grand Mosque. The authority also seeks to coordinate volunteer efforts with 30 government agencies, several universities, the Ministry of Education, various relevant associations, and authorities to enable their members to provide services and uphold the vision of excellent hospitality for visitors, promote values of excellent service, empower the team, magnify the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques, perfect the work, adopt creativity, and achieve guidance.

The general administration for coordinating volunteer work at the Grand Mosque has increased the average number of volunteers for this Hajj season to 650, with an average of 3,250 volunteer hours daily based on the number of volunteers. It has also provided 320 volunteer opportunities in line with the relative increase in the number of pilgrims during the Hajj season. The administration aims to approve more than 30 volunteer
work charters as a minimum with volunteer entities and attract 1,500 additional volunteers to the Grand Mosque.

The authority established 12 volunteer fields during this Hajj season to serve pilgrims through a comprehensive institutional and organizational framework that can achieve the highest standards of quality and the objectives of humanitarian and specialized volunteer programs.
