General Authority of Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Says Mataf Ready to Receive Pilgrims


Makkah: The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has confirmed that the Mataf courtyard is ready to receive pilgrims for this year’s Hajj 1445 AH, adding that it has organized plans and quality services to ensure a smooth experience for the pilgrims.

The authority is working closely with relevant agencies to fully prepare the entrances and corridors leading to the Mataf courtyard, considering their total capacity to accommodate pilgrims and allow them to perform their rituals easily.

It was further explained that the entire courtyard of the Mataf, with its many main and subsidiary entrances and gates, will be fully accessible to pilgrims. In addition, several gates have been designated for services and emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the pilgrims.

Additionally, the Mataf can accommodate 108,000 worshipers per hour across all its floors, including the courtyard, ground floor, first floor, first mezzanine, second mezzanine, and second “roof.” In to
tal, the Mataf can accommodate 203,000 worshipers across all floors.
