Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, received, 8-2-2024, representatives of the Chinese company ‘Huawei’ and a number of real estate development and construction equipment companies, to discuss future work in implementing smart buildings within the ‘Medical City for Hospitals and Educational Institutes’ project in accordance with the latest technological systems in the field of digitizing health care, at the Ministry office in the New Administrative Capital.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the meeting discussed the work proposals submitted by companies to design and implement the integrated medical city for hospitals and educational institutes, and the medical, educational, service and research buildings that the city will include on one land and with a capacity of 4,000 beds.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the minister stressed the importance of cooperation with Huawei in the field of managing technological systems for the
city of hospitals and educational institutes, pointing to the strong relations between Egypt and China politically and economically.
