Health Ministry Convoy of Ambulances Transfers Hospitalized Pilgrims from Madinah Hospitals to Holy Sites

Madinah: Early this morning, the Ministry of Health convoy consisting of a fully equipped fleet of 24 ambulances departed to transfer 17 hospitalized pilgrims of various nationalities from Madinah hospitals to hospitals in the holy sites. These pilgrims will continue their prearranged treatment plans while performing their Hajj rituals for 1445 AH.

The ministry explained that the convoy was prepared through an integrated health system comprising all health sectors under the supervision and organization of Madinah’s General Directorate of Health Affairs. The Madinah Health Cluster, with the participation of several health sectors, prepared a fleet of 24 ambulances equipped with complete medical equipment. A specialized medical team consisting of 106 professionals (doctors, nurses, and paramedics) accompanied the convoy. Also, six ambulances were stationed along Al-Hijrah Road between Madinah and Makkah, with maintenance vehicles, mobile workshops, oxygen supply vehicles, and monitoring and rapid intervention
vehicles.

For the first time, the convoy preparation involved the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Madinah, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital of the National Guard, Prince Sultan Armed Forces Hospital, and several private-sector hospitals.

The health status of the transferred pilgrims is monitored and evaluated by a specialized supervisory medical team accompanying the convoy until its arrival.

Each year, the ministry transfers hospitalized pilgrims from Madinah hospitals to the holy sites to ensure their good health and safety during the Hajj rituals.

Several transferred pilgrims and their chaperones expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for facilitating the performance of Hajj and for the level of healthcare provided to them in Madinah since their arrival until their departure to Makkah.
