IAEA continues to inspect Iranian facilities: Iran nuclear chief

Tehran, IRNA – The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) continues to carry out regular inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities, according to head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI).

The IAEA has carried out the most inspections of the Iranian sites, Mohammad Eslami said, adding that the inspections have been conducted in a regular basis over the past days.

Noting that the UN nuclear agency has carried out both planned and surprised inspections of the Iranian facilities, he said that even one diversion has not been reported in Iran’s nuclear activities.

Referring to the US withdrawal from a hard-won 2015 multilateral deal with Iran, Eslami said that the accord was the outcome of 20 years of negotiations.

He noted that Iran had one reason for signing the deal and that was to remove the allegations against the country while the West seeks to keep the allegations against Iran in place which is not acceptable by Tehran.
