ICESCO Highlights Significance of Manuscripts in the Islamic World

Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Director General Dr. Salim M. AlMalik emphasized the crucial role of manuscripts in preserving the Islamic world’s cultural authenticity, linguistic identity, and civilizational image. He highlighted their importance as bridges of knowledge and communication with other cultures.

In a speech delivered at the International Conference on Manuscripts of the 7th Century AH in Cambridge, AlMalik stated that ICESCO is dedicated to promoting the cultures of calligraphy and manuscripts. Aligned with its vision of supporting human creativity in science, literature, and arts, ICESCO works to expand channels for innovative and enlightening work.

AlMalik announced that ICESCO would soon inaugurate a specialized center for the cultures of calligraphy and manuscripts. He expressed his gratitude to the conference organizers for selecting ICESCO as the guest of honour.
