Imam of Grand Mosque of Makkah Meets with Graduates of Saudi Universities in South Africa

The Imam and Khatib of the Grand Mosque of Makkah Dr. Yasser bin Rashid Al-Dosari met today with a number of preachers and graduates of Saudi universities in South Africa during his visit to Pretoria. The visit, organized and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, aims to strengthen ties with the Muslim community in South Africa.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Dosari emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Islamic affairs and Muslims worldwide, including in South Africa, through various programs and initiatives. These efforts focus on promoting the values of moderate Islam and highlighting the tolerance of the faith. He commended the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for its dedication to fulfilling the aspirations of the Kingdom’s leadership in serving Islam globally.

The attendees expressed their gratitude to the Saudi government for its continued support of Islamic education and for the scholarship programs that have enabled thousands of preachers and schola
rs to study at Saudi universities. Many of these graduates have returned to their home countries, including South Africa, to promote the values of moderate Islam.
