Including a wounded child – 22 citizens from the West Bank were arrested

Ramallah – Ma’an – From yesterday evening until Tuesday morning, the occupation forces arrested at least 22 citizens from the West Bank, including a wounded 8-year-old child, a university student at Birzeit University, Yara Abu Hashish, and former detainees.

The Prisoners’ Club and the Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority explained in a joint statement that the arrests were concentrated in Tulkarm Governorate, and affected at least 10 citizens after a raid that lasted for hours, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Jericho, and Tubas.

The statement indicated that the occupation forces continue to carry out widespread raids and abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, and confiscation of money and vehicles.

He added that the total number of arrests after October 7 reached (8,610) detainees, and includes those who were arrested from
homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

Arrest campaigns are escalating in an unprecedented manner, and come within the framework of the comprehensive aggression against our people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, after October 7, which targeted all groups in an unprecedented manner.
