International Facility Management Conference, Exhibition Kicks Off

Under the patronage of the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the International Facility Management Conference and Exhibition, organized by the Saudi Facility Management Association (SFMA), commenced today in Riyadh.

The conference aims to provide a unified global platform that brings together all stakeholders from various sectors and institutions, along with experts, academics, decision-makers, and interested parties to share knowledge and the best global practices. It also focuses on exchanging expertise related to the latest developments and practices in facility management and generating innovative solutions to address common challenges and enhance sustainability and efficiency. The event highlights the performance of key organizations and sectors, with the participation of over 50 speakers and experts, all serving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.

ority Eng. Bander Al-Zunaid stressed that achieving government spending efficiency and improving the quality of government projects, from planning to operation, involves developing policies and strategies, empowering public entities with sustainable solutions, and creating a positive impact, which contributes to realizing national objectives.

Al-Zunaid highlighted that one of the primary tasks of the SFMA is to develop tools, methodologies, and techniques that contribute to achieving the targets for spending quality in projects, assets, and facilities, while adopting the best relevant practices.

Project Management Expert at the Expenditure and Project Efficiency Authority Eng. Al-Mohanad Al-Duhaim stressed that asset and facility management within institutions and organizations is responsible for operating and maintaining their assets and facilities through policies and procedures developed based on the type of assets, typically buildings, roads, infrastructure, electrical systems, and sewage systems. He
noted that asset and facility management aims to ensure that assets and facilities operate efficiently and effectively.

The conference witnessed signing several agreements and memoranda of understanding with various entities and companies. The conference sessions feature the participation of 67 participants, 50 speakers, and 30 workshops.
