Iran Air expands regional air connectivity

Tehran, IRNA – The National Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iran Air, launches Mashhad-Lahore and Mashahd-Karachi flights from January 1 and 5 respectively, Ministry of Road and Urban Development reported.

The flights are arranged in response to the demands of the businessmen and traders, Pakistani pilgrimages, and university students.

According to the schedules, each Saturday the flights depart from Mashhad International Airport at 4:50 a.m. with flight number of 816 and arrive at Lahore International Airport at 10:00 a.m. The return flights are on same day with flight number of 817 at 11:00 local time and arrive at Mashhad International Airport at 13:40.

Similarly, Iran Air will have flights from Mashhad International Airport to Karachi Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah International Airport each Wednesdays as of January 5. Flights depart Mashhad at 9:30 with flight number of 822 and arrive in Karachi at 13:25. The return flights will be on the same day at 14:25 with flight number of 823 and will arrive in Mashhad at 15:40.

Previously, on 6 November 2021, Abdul Razak Dawood, the advisor to the prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on commerce, industries, production and investment, met with Iran Minister of Transport and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi. In the meeting, the two sides discussed facilitation of mutual economic transactions.

Currently, Iran Air has flights from Mashhad International Airport to Quetta Airport on Saturdays and Wednesdays and there are already flights from Tehran to Karachi.
