Iran calls for resolution of Korean Peninsula issues via dialogue
Tehran, Sep 6, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday cautioned the world about tensions in the Korean Peninsula, and called for settling issues via dialogue.
'Threatening countries that have access to nuclear weapon is a very dangerous game and resolution of problems needs dialogue,' President Rouhani said.
The President added, 'The Korean Peninsula and the Asian continent and the regional security are of great importance for Iran.'
'Pyongyang has adopted this approach to protect itself against the threats and it is testing new bombs in reaction to Washington threats,' President Rouhani noted.
As a result of US President Donald Trump hawkish policies, tensions in the Korean peninsula is escalating and Pyongyang has threatened to attack the US bases in the region.
