Iran condemns recent EU, British anti-Iran sanctions

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the recent EU and British anti-Iran sanctions.

Referring to the ongoing unrests in European countries, such as the dissatisfaction and protests in France, Kanaani said that those are only a sample, but the objectives of the European confrontation approach include trying to deviate the world public opinion from the broadening economic and social systematic breaching of the human rights in Europe, which is not hidden from the knowledgeable observers’ eyes.

“Some European sides must instead of interfering in internal affairs of the other countries refrain from aggressive moves and suppression of their own protesting citizens, heed the real demands of the people in their own territories, and act responsibly and humanely,” the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman added.

Kanaani further reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran while relying on its national might like in the past wisely and strongly reserves the right for reciprocal actions against such awkward, illegal and illogical moves, considering it its own right.

The European Parliament ratified its sixth pack of anti-Iranian sanctions yesterday.
